Dianne Cubbage

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dianne moved to Phoenix in 1994 after graduating from college. She began her career in-house at Goldberg & Osborne, one of the largest personal injury law firms in the state of Arizona. She worked as a Marketing Assistant learning traditional media planning, buying, stewardship and post analysis. After 4 years of developing relationships in the Phoenix and Tucson Markets, Dianne was referred by one of her TV sales reps for a position at Results Media Group.

RMG was the media buying arm of a large and successful advertising agency, E.B. Lane. Hired initially as a Traffic Manager, within 4 months was promoted to Assistant Media Buyer and then within a year promoted again to Media Buyer. Dianne worked on many accounts including Cox Communications, Phoenix Coyotes, National Airlines, AMFAC Resorts, Olympus Hospitality Group/Rock Resorts, T.W. Lewis, Tramonto, KPHO-TV and Downtown Phoenix Partnership. After 4 years with Results Media Group, studying many marketplaces and further augmenting her experience, Dianne was given a unique opportunity to help start a brand new Advertising Agency.

She was approached by one of her TV Sales Reps with whom she had established a strong relationship. After careful consideration Dianne took a leap of faith and that agency, Top of Mind Awareness Advertising (TOMA), began in the garage of her partner’s house. Within 3 months they were billing enough to staff up to 5 and move into a professional office space. It was a rapid ascent from there – Dianne was instrumental in developing all of the agency policies, securing benefits, establishing media guidelines and responsible for hiring all in the first 2 years, in addition to overseeing the media department. Within 2 years the media department had a staff of 7 and the agency a staff of 13. Dianne was responsible for training and developing all of their careers. The anchor account, Ashley Furniture HomeStores, started with 1 location in Scottsdale and 6 years later they had grown with that company to 16 locations in 5 Markets. She also handled Thomasville Home Furnishings in multiple markets, Paddy O’ Furniture, Arizona Central Credit Union and the Arizona Credit Union League, Horizon Moving Company, Foot Solutions and My Studio.

Due to the crash in our economy TOMA struggled in 2007 & 2008 and went through a series of layoffs, including Dianne at the end of 2008. Forced to re-invent herself, Dianne saw this as an opportunity rather than a hardship and did something she had always wanted to do, start her own business.

In October of 2008 Dianne became the sole proprietor of METHOD Marketing + Media, L.L.C.. Networking with 15 years of contacts garnered her enough business to actually turn a profit in the first year, and she hasn’t looked back. As the sole proprietor Dianne handles all the day to day office management, accounting, billing and customer service as well as all the traditional media planning and buying responsibilities. It all comes very natural and it finally feels like this is exactly where she is supposed to be. Over the last few years her clients have included Thomasville Home Furnishings, La-z-boy Furniture Galleries, Tempe Tourism Office, Spring Arbor University, Watson Chevrolet, Infiniti of Tucson and SoundPoint Audiology. Many professional partnerships with other specialty shops have been forged in an effort to best service METHOD’s clients. These shops include Davidson & Belluso, a design firm, Just Press Play, a production post house, ReThinc Advertising, for promotional products, and David & Sam PR.

When Dianne is not working she likes to spend her free time traveling, snow skiing, hiking, golfing and shopping. Dianne is also a huge college football fan and enthusiastically supports her team, the Oklahoma Sooners.
